I have spent all my working life teaching, first in Primary, then Nursery and for the last 10 years as a lecturer in Carnegie College, Dunfermline teaching Childcare and Education. There I had the opportunity to diversify into the Art Department and also work with Special needs adults teaching art and craft.
Since moving to rural Aberdeenshire I finally have time to indulge myself in all the arts and crafts I have always enjoyed, but never had time to do. I have been amazed how well received my bright animal paintings have been received here. I continue my love for teaching by running local art classes, and providing small group and individual tuition from home.
I firmly believe, as a self taught artist, that you are never too old to learn. Art should be fun and available to all. In this ever depressing world we live in I try to inject a little bit of humour through my work and teachings. If I make you smile - I have succeeded!
